Positive: The hotel has a very nice beach with comfortable cabanas and it is conveniently located if you plan to do some shopping at the Bal Harbour Shops.

Negative: The rooms are extremely shabby and unkempt. The carpets are stained, the curtains are grimy, the bed linens are washed beyond repair, and the bathrobes have holes in them. This isn't a 5-star hotel, let alone a 4-star, 3-star place maximum. And it certainly doesn't offer the service and comfort you'd expect from a St. Regis chain.

Summary: The hotel needs to replace its entire housekeeping team and undergo a complete renovation.
