“The Rosy Spoonbill” is excited to welcome you to the best community in Galveston and our very comfortable home with serene views and amenities galore.
We are just one short block to the wide, groomed beach and a half mile from the Pointe West Beach Club. The Beach Club Pool and The Sunset Pool with lazy river and hot tubs are open 365 days a year and boast beautiful views of the ocean and the bay. These pools and the golf cart and bike paths are sure to make Pointe West your favorite place to stay on Galveston Island!
We use our home often and keep it well stocked for cooking and entertaining guests.
Just bring your swimsuit and clothes and enjoy our little slice of heaven.
We can direct you where to rent Golf Carts, Kayaks and Bikes should you want to fully experience island life while you are here. You are going to love it! (We also rent our 4-seater Golf Cart, to licensed drivers only, when available.)
***RESORT FEE: Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Pointe West Beach Club to take full advantage of the resort facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, Basketball and Pickle ball courts, restaurant and bar). They charge $25 per guest 4 years old and older for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the club upon registration. *** (You will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay for your wristbands. The primary guest on your reservation will need to show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristbands and parking passes.) ***Wristband fees increased to $25/per person in 2023. The fee is not mandatory. If you do not plan to use the pools and other amenities during your stay, you do not have to purchase the wristbands. If you do not plan to use the resort amenities but do want to dine at the restaurant, you can attain restaurant-only wristbands at no charge, but you still need to be registered.***
The Pointe Restaurant & Bar is back by popular demand. They offer poolside service whenever possible and are open Tuesday-Sunday during the Summer and Thursday-Sunday after Labor Day. Closed Mondays except on Holiday weekends. Make sure you take advantage of their delicious food and fun drinks and enjoy a Live Band every Saturday night in the Summer.
(Please note that The Pointe Restaurant is delicious but seasonal! It closed after September 7 for remodeling and will open in March 2026.)

The pools and hot tubs are open 365 days a year! The Sunset Pool on the Bayside (aka The Lazy River) is heated during the Fall and Winter for your comfort. That is what makes this resort unique!
Sommer Gifts: The gift shop at Pointe West Beach Club has beach toys, goggles, toiletries and basics as well as tons of fun Beach Fashion, home decor and accessories at wonderful prices. They have bottled sodas, chips, and ice cream, too. Please stop by and say “Hi” to Alice and see all of the treasures packed into her tiny shop. If you forgot something, she probably has it! The gift shop is open 7 days a week during the Summer and Friday-Sunday during the mid season and closes for winter.

Pointe West Activities:
-Make sure to check out both pools. The main Beach Club pool is on Pointe West Boulevard. This pool has The Pointe Restaurant and Bar (open seasonally) and offers poolside service and live music on Saturday nights in the Summer. The Sunset Pool, also known as the Lazy River Pool, is on Estuary on the Far West End of the neighborhood and on the Bay side. Be sure to see a sunset from there! This is the BYOB pool as there is not a café there. You can take your own food to both pools if you desire—Just no alcohol to the Beach Club.
-The largest fishing pier and the kayak launch/mowed entry area for wade fishing are on Bay Water Drive. There is also a fire-pit there.
-An Ice cream truck comes through Neighborhood and to the Lazy River pool daily during high season. (He does take credit cards.)
-The Basketball Court is on Cat Tail Drive. (Daylight hours only; access with wristband code.) Bring your Basketball. We have one in our beach gear closet and an air pump, but, if you are avid players, you will want your good ball.
-Pickleball Court is located near the Basketball Court. Reserve your time and rent Racquets in the office.
-I recommend renting a Golf Cart because it is just fun to have one in Pointe West. We rent our 4 seaters starting at $250/each for a long weekend and up to $400/each for the week (tax included.) If you want a 6-seater, Try K-6 Island Sports, Rick's, or GalvestonCarts.com. K-6 also rents kayaks and Stand-up Paddle Boards that you can use on the bay side and in the ocean on a calm day.
-There are bikes for rent for 2 hour intervals from the Beach Club.
House Information:
-Our beach storage closet is stocked! Chairs, umbrellas, tent, wagon, toys, floats and a couple of child life jackets and puddle jumpers.
-Please rinse off toys and beach gear on your last day before returning to the closet. We would so appreciate it if you leave the storage closet semi-organized for the enjoyment of the next guests. It can get jumbled in there!
-We do provide beach towels. Please wash,dry, fold those on your last day to avoid a surcharge. The housekeeper takes care of ALL other laundry.
🏝 The Boardwalk over the dunes is at the end of our street about 8 houses away.
-Please rinse off in the outdoor shower when returning from beach. Our furniture and floors and DRAINS do not like that much sand!
**Please know that we do utilize EXTERIOR cameras for security. This is for your safety and ours! We do not use INTERIOR cameras. Thank you for understanding and respecting our property!**
No unauthorized pets nor parties.
You will have access to our cell phone numbers after booking is completed. When it gets closer to your stay and during your stay, we prefer to communicate through texting and our cellular so we are not dependent on the WiFi working. Please make sure the phone number you put in the reservation is the main person who will communicate and can receive texts. We can edit that later if need be.
